About e-Jagriti Platform
- e-Jagriti is a flagship initiative of the Department of Consumer Affairs, under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
- It was launched on 1 January 2025.
- The platform aims to strengthen and digitise the consumer dispute redressal system across India.
- It enables consumers to file complaints, track case status and access judgments online.
Key Features of e-Jagriti
- Global accessibility: Citizens and NRIs can file and manage consumer cases from anywhere through a secure digital system.
- Inclusive platform: Multilingual interface and accessibility tools make it useful for different categories of users.
- Integrated system: It combines four earlier platforms — OCMS, e-Daakhil, NCDRC CMS and CONFONET — into one AI-enabled, paperless platform.
- AI-powered smart search: It allows smart search of archived consumer complaints, cases and judgments using AI-based metadata and keyword creation.
- Voice-to-text facility: The platform uses AI/ML technology for voice-to-text conversion of judgments, case history and other details.
- Online case management: It provides facilities for online complaint filing, fee payment and case monitoring.
- Cost-effective redressal: It offers a simple, fast and affordable digital solution for consumer dispute resolution at all levels.
